Revolution Health Coaching Changing the way we live, one meal at a time

If you fall between 1-2, you’re constipated. Why? Usually, from what I see, you’re dealing with a fungal problem, coupled with imbalanced bacterial diversity. It could also be due to simply not eating enough food, which lowers thyroid function, slowing motility. You detox a lot of stuff through p**p, so if you’re not p**ping you’re not detoxing and a lot of s**t (no pun intended) is being recirculated.
-
If you’re between 5-7, you could be dealing with an imbalanced microbiome, or you could be eating too fast and/or drinking too many fluids before a meal. Make sure to slow down, chew food thoroughly, let salivary enzymes emulsify in food, and take a breath between bites. Also I would not recommend chugging water before, during, or after meals. This dilutes stomach acid leading to undigested food.
-
If you’re dealing with a microbiome issue, you’ll likely want to run some sort of protocol to restore balance to the GI. Good thing that’s my specialty! If you need guidance with this, feel free to reach out.

It’s very easy to over obsess about certain things, but I think plastics (as long as you’re not being neurotic about it) are something you should push pretty far.
-
They’re in everything, and the cumulative nature of them can harm our health in so many different ways, so getting rid of a lot of the big hitters can be a super helpful start.
-
Essentially, anything that mixes heat and plastic is a no go for me. No plastic utensils, cooking bags, or plastic anything in the microwave. I’m not cutting food on plastic, I never drink out of plastic water bottles because it’s so easy to avoid them, I reduce intake of things from aluminum cans, an I just generally will cut them out whenever I can.
-
Is it foolproof? Absolutely not. It’s just about sensibly reducing amounts. But with something as harmful as plastics, it’s okay to go a *little* overboard with it considering how rampant they are.

Don’t get me wrong, I think these issues are not completely reversible in some cases, however I think a lot of people who use ADD and ADHD as a crutch to rationalize poor behavior or inability to do something could see improvements with better lifestyle habits and actually improving the composition of their GI.
-
I’ve had several people go through my protocols and report this. Does it mean it happens all the time? No. I think other factors can be involved as well, however it doesn’t mean it’s not controllable and the more we learn about what goes into neurodivergence, the more we can prevent these outcomes by taking the proper steps of manipulating major systems in the body to improve overall function- especially the brain.

I have had a 100% success rate with my gut protocols with clients who lock tf in, bear down, and get the work done. Is it easy? No. But for a few short months if you heavily restrict yourself and build up a strong gut, you can have incredible food freedom, be able to drink somewhat often without issue, and have pristine health throughout your days.
-
The problem is people still want to hold onto old habits whilst doing the protocol, and unfortunately that’s not how it works, especially the more worse off you are. Doesn’t mean you can’t get away with a day here or there and recover, but if you’re way far down the other end of the spectrum- symptoms galore- do not expect to be able to drink/eat like crap on a weekend and lock in during the week and still make progress. That luxury is only reserved for people who have built the foundation.
-
This is a totally different context than weight loss, which is the point of my previous post this week.

‼️READ THE CAPTION‼️
-
As stated in the post, this isn’t to make people feel guilty. We are all imperfect, and sometimes life throws curveballs at us that cause us to take a less ideal route.
-
However, we need to set a higher standard for infant health, because today’s standard is not it. Just because a child doesn’t have an obvious diagnosable condition does not mean they’re healthy, and this will especially lay groundwork for problems down the road.
-
Example: the allergies and gas your baby has in infancy is the result of a poor microbiome composition. This unhealthy gut, unless addressed directly, will only worsen with time. When the child enters their 20s and 30s, it can cause autoimmunity issues, and perhaps directly play a role in the development of cancer.
-
Or, take heavy metals. A mother can pass on heavy metals to her child, and say the child has high aluminum concentrations, and the father had poor s***m health leaving the child with genetic susceptibilities. This child could develop neurological issues in youth or as an adult, and no one thinks to trace it back to their foundations at birth.
-
We need to aim for optimal so we can raise the bar of infant health. This will collectively improve child health, leading to healthier adults, leading to less disease and longer, healthier lifespans.

So many people I work with are quick to rationalize things and say “it’s the holidays, of course I’m gonna slack off” which, to me, doesn’t make any sense.
-
Let’s say you have holiday gatherings on Fridays and Saturdays- that’s 1 meal each day. What’s stopping you from locking in hard Sunday-Thursday, eating good for breakfast and lunch Friday and Saturday, and enjoying yourself in moderation when you go to your gathering?
-
It’s as simple as that. Sure, if you’re dealing with some GI problems or other issues, those meals can flare some symptoms, but you can also have actionable interventions to mitigate those problems on top of locking in hard the rest of the time.
-
That’s really how anyone should be eating anyway- nutrient dense, whole food 90% of the time, and for enjoyment 10% of the time. You just may only have slightly more unhealthier meals this time of year but it’s not significant, let’s be honest. You’ll only throw away your progress if you eat like crap the rest of the day.

Again, it’s a balancing act! No, you shouldn’t need to make at least one meal a day be so bland and boring, but you also should be comfortable having a meal like that and being content because you nourished and took care of yourself.
-
This doesn’t mean you don’t indulge ever, then being healthy would be pointless if you have a fragility mindset. However, you shouldn’t need to derive pleasure from food. It’s absolutely okay to do so, but the keyword is “need”.
-
You should be able to get home from a stressful days work and be completely content with having a stupid simple and often bland meal and still feel fulfilled. It doesn’t mean you don’t ever treat yourself, it’s just about not being dependent on food as a crutch.
