In Memory Of...

James Edward Risen, age 75 of Canmer passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at his home. He retired from International Harvester and was a former employee of MSD. His favorite pastime was working on cars in the garage. He loved to hunt and fish when he was able and his dogs especially his last one, Little Bit.

He was the son of the late James Albert Risen and the late Lanora Whitaker Risen.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Richard Risen.

He is survived by three children, Brian Risen (Joyce) of Magnolia, KY, Carrie Thompson (Walker) of Elizabethtown, KY, and Sherri Bowlin (Jeff), Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren, Blake Risen (Bethany), Bryce Risen, Bailey Risen, Christian Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Ayden Thompson, Tony Cissell, and Coby Cissell; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Risen (Cyndi); two sisters, Sharon Phillips and Sandy Johnston.

The family has chosen cremation and there will be a visitation held from 1:00- 5:00 PM CT on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home.

In Loving Memory...

Dennis Ray Bruton, 79, of Munfordville was born on October 9th of 1946 and peacefully passed away at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville on his birthday October 9th of 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Virginia Guess Bruton.

Dennis was of Baptist faith and saved at the age of 13 years old during a revival at Leitchfield Crossing Baptist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a past Girl Scout Dad. A past member of the Caverna Jaycee, member of Munfordville City Council, Historical Society and Civil War Days committee member. He worked for the railroad for 29 years and during his career the railroad went through several name changes from L & N to CSX. He was a 56 year member of Green River Lodge #88 F & AM. Dennis was an avid sports fan, but loved UK, the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals. He enjoyed his yard and watching birds out of his front window from his many bird feeders.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Brenda Joyce Puckett Bruton; his two children,

Jennifer Bruton Sims (Jesse Ray) of Cave City, KY, Janci Logsdon (Chad) of Munfordville, KY;one grandson, Draven Ray Sims also survives.

The family will receive friends from 4:00- 8:00 PM CT on Sunday, October 12, 2025 with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held again from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Talley officiating. Burial will follow at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.

Beverly Jean Graham, age 75, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. She was a member of the Allen Seminary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, she loved going to bingo, playing softball, and going to the movies.

She was the daughter of the late William "Boots" Dice and the late Mary Lilly Mundy Dice.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Renea Dice; her grandson, Latravion Briggs; two siblings, Allen Dice and David Dice.

She is survived by one daughter, Nicole Graham, Bowling Green , KY; three sons, Tony Dice , Bowling Green , KY, Stoney Dice, Bowling Green, KY, William Graham, Bowling Green , KY; a special granddaughter, Markesha Dice, 10 grandchildren, Dominique Dice, Kendra Buford, Lorenzo Graham, Jerako Graham, William Graham Jr., Ace Boogie, Andre Dice, Christopher Graham, and Javen Broughton; nine great-grandchildren; her five siblings, William Dice, Mark Dice, Anita Pearson, Virgina Lewis, Johnny Dice; a son-in-law, Steven Buford.

The family will welcome friends from 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM CT on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home. A homegoing service will be held at 2:00 PM CT on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. William Dice officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Seminary Cemetery.
