Why box squats?๐
Well itโs a safe and easy way to start overloading your body. It allows for your body to get prepared to handle heavier weight loads to help increase your squat max.๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Initially itโs less tension and stress on the knees as well. I get knee pain occasionally from wrestling and high impact sports๐ฅฒ. Back squats take a lot of load off the quadriceps which lessens the load on the knee joint and distributes the weight more so to your posterior chain.๐๐ผ
Intentionally, in this particular back squat I set my feet closer to the box and sat on to the box. This allowed me to focus on handling overload in my erectors, increase explosiveness for at the bottom of my squat, and hip extensors strength for a better lockout at the top of my squat.๐๐ผ
