Memory Bears as Quiet Companions

As we reflect on this past year, Nightingale’s Hospice Memory Bears became quiet companions, holding memories, stories, and enduring love.

Each bear was lovingly created from a loved one’s clothing holding stories, comfort, and a love that never leaves.

For families, these bears become something to hold when words fall short.
A reminder they are not alone.
A tangible way to keep a piece of their person close through moments both tender and hard.

Because memory lives on and love always finds a way to be held.

The holidays are here, and sometimes a little support goes a long way.

If you or someone you love is navigating grief, you don’t have to walk this season alone. Our Community Grief Support Group at The Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center offers a safe place to share, connect, and find strength whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one, a change in independence, or any significant life transition.

Monthly on the 3rd Thursday
3:30–4:30 p.m.
Open to residents, family members and staff
Facilitator: Chaplain Chipo Makwakwa

Together, we will learn coping tools, build resilience, and create room for healing during a tender time of year.
