So much to be thankful for these days. 🍁 🧡

🙏🏻Thankful to be able to go visit my friends at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC this past Friday even if I tired more easily than I used to. Their eyes still light up when they see me.

🙏🏻 Thankful for heating pads and electric blankets. A senior pup’s best friend.

🙏Thankful for people like Sara Nix Woods who let me use a wagon to visit my friends at the nursing home even though I insisted on using my own 4 paws.

🙏🏻 Thankful for the ramp I use to go outside instead of the steps and for Dana Rogers who gave it to me. Stairs are for puppies anyway.

🙏🏻 Thankful to have my family at home with me most of this past week. Nothing better than family snuggles.

🙏🏻 Thankful to get to try Companion Laser Therapy at Helton Plaza Veterinary Office soon to help my aches.

If any of my supporters would like to help my handler/caregiver/mom cover the cost of 2x/week laser therapy treatments for 6 weeks, she would be so grateful.

🐾 A Pupdate From Me, Your Favorite Therapy dog🐾

Today I had to go see the doctor because I’ve been losing my balance. 🏥🐾 I’ve been trying to be tough, so no one knew how much my back was hurting.

The doctor says I have Lumbosacral Syndrome—that’s where my lower back meets my hips. A big bundle of nerves lives there, and when they get squeezed, it makes my back legs weak and moving painful.

Here’s what Dr. Whitlow at Woodward Avenue Animal Clinic says will help me feel better:

💊 Medicine to help with the pain.
💤 Lots of extra rest (even when I think I’m ready to run!).
🐾 Short, gentle walks only.
🔥 My cozy heated blanket to relax my back.
⚡️ Laser therapy for pain relief.
↗️ Ramps only from now on—stairs hurt!

I’m still the same sweet pup—I just need a little extra TLC for my back. Thanks for loving me through it. ❤️🐶

If anyone has any recommendations on affordable ramps for the bed and car and orthopedic dog beds, or anything else that might help me feel more comfortable, let me or my mom know!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, he did it! Deafblind Sullivan passed his therapy dog certification! Every day this little nugget defeats the odds and inspires me with his abilities and the way he navigates the world. As we always say and prove time and time again, a Disability is NOT an inability, it’s a superpower! So proud of you, Sully.
