This free 8-week program meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

Join us in congratulating our new graduates from Goodwill's Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC-R) Certification program this week! The class successfully completed the intensive, 13-week, 104-hour training and are job-ready for an apprenticeship in this high-demand field. Offered at Goodwill’s Career Center twice-weekly in the evenings, Goodwill also provided free, on-site child care for program participants.

Thanks to support from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, local HVAC business partners, and the Community Foundation for Muskegon County, Goodwill purchased tools and equipment, installed 12 furnace and air conditioning units for hands-on instruction, launched an on-site child care center, and hired a certified instructor.

New and returning Goodwill Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers came together last night for our annual Fall VITA Kick-Off Dinner. It was a fun evening to celebrate and get ready for the new tax season. Goodwill Tax Program Coordinator, Amanda Kitchka, shared plans and ideas for the year ahead.

Goodwill is thankful for these amazing volunteers who use their time and skills to help people file their taxes each year. Their hard work makes a big difference for families and our West Michigan community — with nearly $3 million in refunds last year!
