Access & Empowerment: Teaching Adaptive Yoga with Skill and Heart
📅 March 20–22, 2026

This 300-Hour Immersion Module is a deep dive into what it truly means to make yoga accessible.

Adaptive Yoga is not about “modifying down.” It is about teaching skillfully, intelligently, and compassionately so every body in the room feels seen, supported, and empowered. We’ll explore functional anatomy, prop strategy, trauma-awareness, inclusive language, and creative sequencing for students navigating injury, mobility limitations, neurological differences, aging bodies, and more.

You’ll leave with:
• Practical tools you can use immediately
• Greater confidence working with diverse populations
• Ethical frameworks for inclusive teaching
• A deeper understanding of yoga as a practice for all

At The Bend Academy, accessibility isn’t a trend. It’s a responsibility.

The Bend Wellness Center & Yoga Studio has two studio locations in Mustang, OK and Bethany, OK. We believe that yoga is for every body and we like to work with the whole person. From the moment you step into one of The Bend’s studios, you will feel welcomed, at home, and a sense of peace. We want to be your home away from home. Somewhere to rest, restore, build strength physically, mentally and emotionally. The Bend is where you can learn to believe in yourself, trust yourself, be inspired by yourself and love yourself.
