Duke showing us how it’s done! 🐾🔥

In this session, Duke took on our full obstacle circuit—working through the cavaletti trail, exploring different turf textures, and confidently navigating platforms, a bridge, and a ramp.

Each part of this setup targets something important:
✨ Cavaletti work improves coordination and stride control
✨ Changing surfaces challenges balance and activates stabilizing muscles
✨ Platforms, bridges, and ramps build strength, body awareness, and confidence

Duke stayed focused and pushed through every challenge like a pro. This kind of dynamic work is key for building strength, stability, and trust in their own movement.

Big congratulations to two of our amazing patients, Moose and Charles, on their graduation and upcoming move to New York! 🐾✨

Moose, a lovable Great Pyrenees mix, came to us recovering from a right stifle injury along with elbow dysplasia. Through hard work and determination, he made incredible progress and truly embraced every step of his rehab journey.

Charles, our sweet beagle mix, joined us to build strength and help manage his bilateral stifle injuries. With consistency and heart, he’s grown stronger, more stable, and more confident with each session.

Both of these boys thrived in our hydrotherapy program, where the water helped support their bodies while safely building strength, improving stability, and boosting confidence.

We are so proud of how far they’ve come and will miss them dearly! Wishing Moose and Charles all the best as they start their next adventure in New York—you’ve got this, boys! 💙🐶

By adding FitPaws obstacles to his session, we’re turning a simple exercise into a fun and functional challenge. Navigating the ramp with these added elements encourages precise paw placement, improves balance, and builds stability with every step.

This type of work doesn’t just look impressive—it activates supporting muscles, promotes joint awareness, and helps create stronger, more confident movement overall. And as you can see, Wrigley is having a blast while doing it! 🐶✨

Bourbon is no stranger to the journey of stifle injuries… and this next step is all about giving him the support he deserves 💪🐾

After two TPLO surgeries and ongoing osteoarthritis, Bourbon is now rocking his brand new brace from Animal Ortho Care—and we couldn’t be more excited for him.

These custom stifle (knee) braces are designed to stabilize the joint, reduce pain, and support healing, whether it’s post-surgical recovery or long-term management of chronic conditions like arthritis. They’re even built to allow a normal range of motion while preventing abnormal movement, which is huge for maintaining mobility and comfort

For dogs like Bourbon, that support matters. Bracing helps:
✨ Improve weight distribution on painful joints
✨ Protect the surgical leg and the opposite limb
✨ Encourage more confident movement during rehab

April is Canine Fitness Month (aka Active Dog Month!) 🐾💪

We’re celebrating with Leroy, who is putting in the work during hydrotherapy—adding resistance to build strength, improve stability, and keep his body moving the way it should!

Leroy is visiting us from out of town, and after finding us during their stay in Myrtle Beach, his mom knew he needed to be part of our Happy Dog Program while they’re here. Safe to say… he’s loving every minute of it!

Physical therapy is one of Leroy’s favorite activities back home, especially hydrotherapy, and it absolutely shows. His enthusiasm, drive, and strength in the water are what canine fitness is all about.

Leroy has HNPE—but you wouldn’t know it watching him! He’s thriving, staying active, and proving that with the right support and exercise, dogs can continue to live strong, happy, and full lives.

Here’s to keeping our dogs active, engaged, and feeling their best this April! 🐶💙

Mona Lisa is back with us for her second TPLO surgery, and while we’re supporting her healing with laser therapy on her new surgical site, we’re also focusing on something just as important: mental enrichment.

In this video, she’s working through her Outward Hound puzzle toy like a pro! When physical activity has to be limited, enrichment becomes essential. It helps prevent boredom, reduces stress, and keeps dogs feeling confident and fulfilled during recovery.

Mental stimulation = a calmer, happier patient—and that can make a big difference in the healing process.

Mona Lisa is showing us that even during recovery, you can still learn, play, and thrive 💪✨

Chuck has osteoarthritis everywhere… and like many of our senior patients, his lower back (lumbar spine) can be especially uncomfortable. That’s where our new shockwave therapy device comes in!

Shockwave therapy (also called extracorporeal shockwave therapy) uses high-energy sound waves delivered deep into the tissue to help reduce pain and stimulate healing.
These waves help:
✨ Decrease pain signals
✨ Improve blood flow
✨ Stimulate the body’s natural healing response
✨ Support tissue repair and reduce inflammation

For dogs like Chuck, this means more comfort, better mobility, and a higher quality of life 🙌

Meet Emmy — our sweet senior Newfie doodle who has osteoarthritis just about everywhere. But if you think that slows her down… think again!

Hydrotherapy is her happy place. The moment she walks in, she’s already telling us what to do — and today, she made it VERY clear… it was time to fill the tank! 😂

Water therapy helps take the pressure off her joints while keeping her strong, mobile, and doing what she loves most — moving.

Because aging and arthritis don’t mean giving up joy… they just mean finding new ways to keep it 💦🐾

Meet Billy at Boxerpalooza! 🐾

Billy is our agility boy and will be showing off some fun agility work that highlights strength, coordination, and body awareness. These types of exercises help build the power and control dogs need for both sport and everyday movement.

Billy recently earned his C-ATCH 5 title in CPE Agility, a huge accomplishment that reflects his hard work and athleticism! 🏆
