A recent systemic review and meta-analysis of 16 randomized controlled trials, concluded that essential oils demonstrate promise and effectiveness for relieving symptoms associated with pregnancy. Peppermint, bitter orange, and lemon were highlighted for reducing pregnancy-associated nausea and vomiting via inhalation. Rose, peppermint, and neroli for reducing maternal anxiety when inhaled. And Bitter orange, neroli, and lavender for sleep quality during pregnancy when inhaled.
