Hi folx! My name is Lauren Brdecka-Drake. I am the owner of CARE Counseling, Inc., and the Naperville Trauma Institute (non-profit) in Naperville and Lake Forest. We are seeking to hire a second child therapist for our Naperville office. We have a stocked play therapy office. We would be happy to consider developing an intern if the person is a graduate student focused on child therapy (and is cleared to see child clients). All internships are paid.
Please let me know if you are available or if you know someone who is. We are a team of 7 clinicians. We offer competitive pay, vacation stipends, and a 50/50 split of BCBS PPO health insurance with a $ 1,600 deductible, as well as United vision and dental plans after 90 days of employment.
We also offer lots of professional opportunities, mentorship, and training in counseling leadership, group facilitation, teaching, and research. Current research projects include the efficacy of IFS Level 2 training on the addictive process (in the therapists and clients) and DID competency in therapists. Our whole team was trained by Northwestern and engages in monthly reflective group supervision in addition to weekly individual supervision.
Our broader practice heavily focuses on abuse, neglect, trauma, and dissociation in clients of all ages and presentations, so any prospective therapist should know this. Multicultural awareness is central to our work, and we have a diverse staff.
We accept a wide range of insurance plans, including Medicare (contract signed) and all Medicaid plans. Coffee, water, and teas are offered onsite. All offices have windows.
