The scalp is one of the most common places we diagnose skin cancer because it gets direct sun every single day and is often forgotten.

This was melanoma in situ - the earliest stage of melanoma, caught before it had the chance to spread.
Here's the part most people don't realize:

It can be flat, light, small, and easy to ignore.
