I am a non-profit organization and rely on help by good animal loving people like you. Welcome to our page where we are dedicated to saving and caring for feral felines in our community through the power of education and the practice of TNR. My name is Rusti, and I have built a little bit of kitty heaven. I am dedicated to saving as many ferals as I can and am passionate about educating others on how to combat the astronomical numbers of feral cats world wide ! I release most ferals I trap but will keep all kittens, pregnant mommas and sick or injured kits. The kits I have at my facility now are ones that never left once released or have a lower survival rate in the swamp, so I have integrated them into my existing colony. It's hard work and it's not cheap, but I do what I can with what I've got. So there is a story here. If you have followed us for over a year or more, you might recall that Bart and I used to do our morning walkabouts every day. Bart has since been in retirement and no longer goes out into the yard, so I am hopeful that I can get this black beauty, Ozzie to take Bart’s place! There will be follow up pictures soon! 😸

This girl is so special. You don't see too much of her as she is very shy and came here as a semi-feral who lived both indoors and out. She spent months in my bedroom never coming out and p**ping in my bathtub !! She has finally started to come out and spend time on the counters which just thrills me. Her fur is so thick and I just love giving her scritches all over !! 😺

Jo Jo is a very unusual kit. She has a deep bond with me and does not like most of the other kits. She and baby Hal are always a pair but other kits just hissss her off. She is pictured here in the sunroom enclosure up in the top back corner where the opening is. She likes it and feels safe there. If I can't find her, I know to look here. 😺

TRUE STORY !! >>>> Most of you know that we are located in south Florida and do not have ' winters '. So when we experience temperatures below 60*F ( don't laugh ) all living things go through a true shock to the system. We had wind chills in the 30's this morning !! This creates the always-interesting phenomenon of falling iguanas !! Now you have to zoom into the picture, but you can see them in the background falling from the trees !
I will add a link to an article about the iguanas so you can read how and why this happens. We tend to joke about it down here, but it is quite intense for the little reptiles if you think about it..... and just so you know, those aren't real iguanas in the picture. I just added them for fun. ** BONUS ** original photo in the comment section.

We know and always state that we are very aware of how difficult times have been and are getting for many.... but we have to ask for help because we simply aren't getting any. We need litter, food and sprays most of all right now but can use anything from our list. And as always, you help us when you share our post and request for help.
