I am a non-profit organization and rely on help by good animal loving people like you. Welcome to our page where we are dedicated to saving and caring for feral felines in our community through the power of education and the practice of TNR. My name is Rusti, and I have built a little bit of kitty heaven. I am dedicated to saving as many ferals as I can and am passionate about educating others on how to combat the astronomical numbers of feral cats world wide ! I release most ferals I trap but will keep all kittens, pregnant mommas and sick or injured kits. The kits I have at my facility now are ones that never left once released or have a lower survival rate in the swamp, so I have integrated them into my existing colony. It's hard work and it's not cheap, but I do what I can with what I've got. Cats spend hours grooming themselves not just to look good for us ( wink ) but did you know that grooming also helps with parasite control, regulates body temperature and soothes kits when they are feeling stressed? And here we mostly thought it was because kits are so vain. 😸 😅

THE SHED PROJECT! Many of you have been asking how this project is going, and it had stalled for a while due to different challenges and things not coming through like I had planned. You may or may not be familiar with this scenery. When Bart was still doing walkabouts with me, this was a favorite spot of ours. Well this is OZZIE who has decided that he likes this section of the property too !
We are behind the enclosures, down by the ponds edge. Pretty soon this entire area will be under water and our walkabouts will be cut short. We try to get as much of this beautiful nature time in as we can before rainy season takes it away from us.

Any plans ?? We are hopefully going to get some much needed rain this evening. I use so much water every day and always get a bit scared that my well will run out. I have put off doing some serious deck cleaning for a couple of months now..... like DEEP cleaning. My OCD levels are off the charts. lol. 😸 😺 🫨 Thankfully I have enough other spots to clean and lots of kits to keep me busy !! Have a great day !!

So many beautiful kits. I never seem to have enough time. I love our evenings when the day is winding down and I’m doing the last feeding. I could spend hours with them and enjoy how cute and playful. They are so much! 😸

It's ROBERTA !!
She has 3 babies ( not so little anymore ) and has been taking all my bird seed and showing them how to retrieve it as well. I will try my best to get pics of the kids, but they scurry awfully fast even when I try to be in stealth mode. LOL !!
