Exciting news!

Fiercely Curious’s own Susan Weinthaler is the new artist-in-residence at The Blue Fox Motel in Narrowsburg, NY. 

Come celebrate with us!
Wednesday, July 16th
5-7pm
Susan will be unveiling FLOURISH
(which spans a 10 ft steel wall)

The Blue Fox Motel is a perfect getaway to enjoy pizza poolside after a game of pickle ball or a nature walk with their two resident goats, so it’s worth the trip there!

If you can’t attend, but would love to see her work in person, please reach out for a studio visit (in NYC or Narrowsburg). You can also view this piece by appointment at the Blue Fox Motel. DM me for more details!

Well hello, my art loving friends! It's been over a year since my last post (oye!), so let me dust the cobwebs off my phone and share with you today's delight! Just happened to be looking for something to do while staying at a friend's just outside of Oslo and (how can it be that no one told me about this fantastic museum ??) we privately viewed Yayoi Kusama's infinity room, Hymn of Life and Yellow Pumpkin. In addition, the grounds offered such engaging sculptures for viewers of all ages! Outdoor sculptures by: , Arnold Haukeland, Trygve Fredriksen. I went deep into Olympic Skater Sonja Henie's history to discover she was shunned by both Norway and US alike for her purportedly friendly relations with Hi**er during WWII, spent a good deal of effort building an acting career and was married 3x, the last husband prior to her death at age 57 to leukemia was to an art patron (who shares the museum name with her)...so there you go, a bit of history for you too! And yes, you should visit it next time you find yourself here in Oslo, Norway!

Here's some gorgeous new photos of 's custom artwork for our beloved west coast clients. We met virtually during the pandemic and they shared information about themselves to be included in the piece which made it uniquely theirs...and then trusted the artist to just run with it! I was a joy to see this happen and to have such a wonderful interaction while not being able to meet in person. Thanks to for having brought us into her grand vision!

What a dream project this was for such a dreamy couple! created this custom artwork during the pandemic through virtual meetings that felt so comfortable and intimate, I would never believe we haven't yet met in person! Icing on the cake - seeing how much joy this brings to them and their home. This work includes many personal elements...even beach sand from Fiji Islands!
Feeling so lucky to be a part of this, to have met these wild and lovely souls and to trust that deep connections can still be made even when we feel so far from one another. Susan Weinthaler, I adore working with you! 😍

Ahhh, finally some art! After a year and a half of nature and hiking, we had a much needed museum day -
1-3. Prism rainbow dancing and moto spotting at the National Museum of the American Indian.
4. Sarah Cain - best title: "My favorite season is the fall of the patriarchy".
5. Katharina Fritsch - best color (if you like Klein blue, that is...and you do, right?): "Hahn / C**k"
6. Wayne Thiebold - best way to keep flagging kiddos interested: "Cakes"

I LOVE seeing a studio getting prepped for a client visit. A big part of the joy of my work is being there to witness and take part in making a client and artist connection. Sadly, I won't be able to be there with , but her studio is looking gorgeous! Can't wait for coronavirus to get under control, but I am grateful for those who continue to support artists during these crazy times! Thanks Emily, for keeping this visit a safe one!

Someone just purchased this lovely piece by and it reminded me of the quiet power of gifts. They're buying this piece as a gift, Micaela is hand delivering the piece as a gift. In these dark times the last thing we need is materiality - and yet, without physical contact, small gifts have a strength in them. This purchase warmed my soul...perhaps we can all find creative ways of giving and connecting with those we love and miss.

Here's some fun pics of glow in the dark artworks, launch events (that even required security 😆), ceramicists and musicians doing tandem live performances, yoga with art, getting magnetized at Art Basel Miami and just having fun with art making it accessible to everyone who wants to enjoy it!
