Imagine this: a simple text, “Hey, how are you doing today?” could be the lifeline someone desperately needs.

On World Su***de Prevention Day, we’re reminded that hope often begins with small actions. Nearly 800,000 people lose their lives to su***de each year worldwide—but behind every statistic is a person who mattered deeply.

✨ You don’t have to have all the answers. Just showing up makes a difference.
✨ Your kindness can be someone’s turning point.
✨ You can be the reason someone chooses to stay.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out:

"How was school today?" Having intentional after school conversations is a great way to stay connected with your child. On the next drive home from school, try asking a few of these questions to get you started.

Father’s Day – by Ashley McQuirk

The Bible is clear about the blessing that children are to their parents (Psalm 127:3-4). As the spiritual leader of the household, fathers are an important part of the spiritual foundation for their children.

Maybe that feels like a lot of pressure. Maybe that excites you. Maybe that worries you. We want to encourage you that if you are doing your best, then you are doing a great job.

There is no manual that every parent is handed that specifically tells a parent “what to do when your toddler won’t go to sleep” or “what to do when your teenager thinks you’re the most unfair parent in the world”.

We at AGAPE want to embolden you on your parenting journey. The Bible tells us that God’s power is made perfect in our weaknesses, so even when you feel disappointed or frustrated with yourself as a parent, know that God is working through your struggles.

He sees you, and He supports you, and He will carry you through by His perfect grace and limitless strength.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects millions of people — including veterans, survivors of abuse, first responders, and anyone who has experienced trauma. It’s more common than many realize, and it doesn’t always look the same from one person to the next.

This month is a reminder to break the silence, reduce the stigma, and support those living with PTSD. You don’t have to have all the answers to be there for someone — just being willing to listen can make a difference.

If you or someone you know is struggling, you’re not alone. Help is available. 💙

This month, we take time to prioritize mental well-being — for ourselves, our communities, and those who may be struggling silently.

A helpful way to think about mental health is through the 5 Cs:

Connection – Strong relationships and support networks are the foundation of mental well-being. Reach out. Stay connected.

Compassion – Be kind to yourself and others. Everyone is facing battles you may not see.

Clarity – Understand your emotions. Naming what you feel helps you process and respond in healthy ways.

Coping – Develop healthy ways to manage stress, from deep breathing to journaling to seeking professional support.

Community – A safe, inclusive environment makes it easier for everyone to thrive. Let's keep creating those spaces.

Here at AGAPE we offer that emphasis on mental health through our professional counseling combined with the enduring and healing love of Christ. Let’s use this month to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind each other: it’s okay to not be okay — and help is always within reach.
