People will say "I need to do this, act this way, follow this rule, or speak in this way" so that I feel good about myself. I suggest that a better course is in humility, rewording this to "I can't do this on my own, it's hard to do the next right thing, or my tongue seems to have a mind of its' own". This, then, sends me (us) on a quest to ask "who can help me?". I have an answer...repeated so often in the 12 step community of recovery..."a higher power some of us choose to call God". (Credit: ACA "Solution"). Today be mindful there is help and hope.
