Good morning, Nashville - so grateful and excited to host today. I chose “Synchrony + Synchronicity” as today’s theme. When we move to music together, and let ourselves BE moved, our physiology syncs up. When our bodies and brains align, our emotions and hearts start to connect. This gives us greater access to joy, to peace, to understanding, to harmony. If there’s anything the world is hungry for right now, it’s harmony. Come dance your way to more of it. 🪷

Chakralesque, I realize each time I lead it, is more than a class or a workshop. It’s a deep opening. It’s a portal. It’s a transformational catalyst. It’s a rebirth.

Come join a small group of women in a 4 week virtual workshop followed by a truly transformative journey to Costa Rica in March! This once in a lifetime experience will provide you the tools and community for true healing and transformation. This workshop/retreat is limited to 12 women.
Transformation is a beautiful but unsettling experience. We must release the old, be with the wide open space of the unknown-in-between, and create anew without attachment to what was or what doesn’t yet exist.
All there is to do is to Be.
Grateful for the joy and the pain of transformation this week. For the chance to reflect, be with loved ones, and create my reality and relationships every day. Grateful, even in the moments when fear and anxiety speak louder than gratitude.

That’s exactly what I asked when the word popped into my head a few years ago during a savasana at end of class at Laughing Lotus in Williamsburg (RIP, Williamsburg studio - you were my favorite). “Chakralesque.” The word repeated loud and clear in my mind, and as my best friend and I walked down the street on our way to a post-yoga mimosa, I said, “I don’t totally know what this is yet, but I know I’m supposed to create it. Please don’t let me talk myself out of doing this... whatever it’s meant to be.”
Since that day, Chakralesque has evolved from a voice in my head into a life-changing practice for me and many other women (and, yes, several men - my goal is that it empower thousands of humans of all shapes, sizes, genders, and backgrounds) who seek to heal, express, and fully integrate their body-mind-spirit selves. I first read the word “Chakra” in a Yoga Journal in 1999. As a curious, spiritually-hungry teenage girl in a small southern town, chakras seemed mysterious and enlightening. Fast forward twenty years, and that small town southern girl has moved to NYC where she is a professional opera singer, a singing burlesque showgirl, an energy healer, a Reiki practitioner, and a Professional Certified Coach who works with executives and leaders worldwide on authentic, powerful leadership skills.
Chakralesque is a workout for your body, mind, and spirit. But what does that mean? That means I’ve blended the healing modalities that have impacted my life the most - chakra work, burlesque, and transformational coaching - to create an approach to holistic wellness that will move your body, open your mind, and integrate your beautiful soul into this divine human life you’re living.
We dance our way to alignment with the help of goddesses Beyonce, Britney, and Lizzo. We journal when the music and movement brings feelings to the surface. We sing or yell when our throat chakra wakes up to help move some energy up and out of our bodies. We share declarations of actions we’ll take to create the future we most deeply desire. We make deep, vulnerable eye contact. We laugh. We cry as our hearts open fully in the presence of a room full of other wide open hearts. We get pi**ed. We swing our arms and our legs until the anger moves out to the beat of pop song that will forever hold new meaning for us. We dance it all out. We rediscover the intersection of sensuality and sexuality. We fall in love with our bodies. We fall in love with ourselves again.
At the end of class, we circle up for a guided meditation that integrates all of the energetic work we’ve just done. We relax into ourselves as we let the earth hold us up. We drift into a state of healing and harmony that we then take out into the world after class. We tap back into the experience of our most balanced energy throughout the week to keep us present until we get to come back to the next Chakralesque class and do it all again.
