Congratulations to Collaborative Safety’s Senior Consultant, Nick Stake, M.Sc. for completing his graduate work at University in the Masters Degree program in Human Factors and Systems Safety.

When asked about his experience at Lund, Nick said, “Participating in the Human Factors and Systems Safety program at Lund University was an amazing opportunity for me both personally and professionally. I am proud to be the first person from the correctional field to have participated in the program. My goal for participating in the program was to be a voice for the correctional field. If leaders of correctional agencies find value in considering systemic features of the correctional system to improve the correctional environment for the offender population, safety science can show correctional leaders the value in considering the systemic features of their system for their staff as well. This program has given me additional tools and confidence to continue working with correctional agencies to build a safety culture that employees from all levels, and the offenders they serve, can benefit from.”
