Nashville Autism Peer Support - A National Autism Peer Support Chapter

Nashville Autism Peer Support - A National Autism Peer Support Chapter NAPS provides a safe place for autistic adults to find acceptance & understanding.

We believe that autistic individuals should be empowered for self-advocacy, & that the lived experiences of an autistic person are valid expressions of autistic identity.

Join us for our February meeting this Saturday, February 7, 10:30-12:30 at Crievewood United Methodist Church, 451 Hogan Rd Nashville, TN 37220.

This month, the Gray Family McDonald's is graciously bringing 15 assorted breakfast sandwiches. Availability is on a first come, first served basis, limit one per person. Please note that there will be no vegan or gluten-free options. They will also provide coffee.

Also, they will arrive at 10:15 to deliver the breakfast. They will be recording the delivery. If you want to avoid the possibility of being recorded, arrive at the usual start time. Breakfast will be served when the meeting starts. Try to arrive early or on time, as doors will be closed at 10:40.

The sandwich picture in this post is not intended to be an actual representation or guarantee of the sandwiches we will receive.

This reminds me (Robbie Gean) of a discussion at one of our monthly meetings about neurotypical standards of masculinity, and how our community may not conform to that limited definition. If you are an autistic male, you may want to check out the whole video. You are not "wrong," and our community values you, your experience, and your contributions to the people and places in your sphere of influence.

We are in the process of updating our website, so if you attempt to go to nashvilleautismpeersupport.org, you’ll find out that the domain is no longer connected.

As soon as it's back up, we'll let everyone know.
