Sunday morning self-care at my favorite sanctuary… the beautiful trails at Radnor Lake State Park. 🌿

The Lake Trail just reopened this past week, and it felt so good to be back out there. Every visit reminds me why this place nourishes my soul.

This morning’s sightings included blue herons (busy building their little lakeside “condominiums”), geese, ducks, wild turkeys, an eagle soaring overhead… and even an otter making a quick appearance. Nature always seems to have a surprise waiting.

Time in nature has a way of settling the nervous system, quieting the mind, and reminding us to breathe deeply and simply be present.

As a young child, I had terrible posture.

My loving mother, always looking out for my well-being, came up with a creative solution… she had me walk around the house with a book balanced on my head! 📚

Fast forward many years to 2017 when I was in the final month of a year-long certification as a Yoga Wellness Specialist with the amazing Mary Irby of White Crow Yoga.

It was a fabulous year of learning that built upon my previous movement and strength training certifications.

Original Strength + Yoga Therapy = Magic. ✨

That training left me feeling incredibly prepared and confident that I could help people restore their mobility and strength, reduce pain and stiffness, and get back to participating in the activities they love most.

And since then, I’ve helped a lot of people relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain that often stems from poor posture.

(And just to be clear… balancing a book on your head does not fix the problem!) 😜

Anyone else grow up trying the “book on the head” posture trick? 📚 🤩

My Story

PJ Olsen is an expert in physical wellness with a focus on strength and mobility, resulting in diminished pain for her clients. She is the founder and owner of Restorative Strength, LLC which is a company that helps individuals restore their physical fitness back to where it was earlier in life. She also specializes in working with men and women who suffer from chronic pain issues or physically limiting medical conditions.

PJ is a wellness speaker and workshop facilitator who has completed 500 hrs of yoga training, is certified in Rock Steady Boxing and is an Original Strength Coach. As part of these unique fitness and wellness accomplishments, she has been featured in O Magazine, Entrepreneur, Forbes,and Fortune as well as being a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Yoga Alliance.

As a successful 30-year veteran in the music industry, working with Sony, MCA, and even Toby Keith’s label Show Dog, she has promoted world-renowned artists such as Tim McGraw, Elton John, and Mary J Blige. As a result of years of sitting behind her computer screen and working in a sedentary business environment PJ’s body felt the toll. This led to a big decision and an even bigger need to start living and moving differently. Realizing how much could be accomplished in just 2 weeks of simple functional movement, PJ made a huge career shift and at age 50, she began her life’s mission and her passion – to help people regain strength, remove physical limitations and restore their confidence.
