Briarwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is an outstanding Community of Care conveniently located down the block from Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham. As a registered Eden Alternative™ facility, our signature Eden approach can be felt throughout our neighborhoods, as we focus on placing the needs and preferences of our residents and families above all else. We have been highly successful at keeping our rate of rehospitalization down and have attained a 5 star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), meeting and exceeding their standards of quality care. According to recent State Surveys – overall satisfaction at Briarwood Healthcare exceeded ALL other facility averages in our area. Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of medical professionals who are easily approachable & always accessible, providing residents’ families with an exceptional comfort level as they are involved in all aspects of care. Our Short-Term Rehabiliation and Long-Term Care Neighborhoods are under the expert supervision of Medical Directors Dr. John V. Our secure Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care neighborhood is overseen by its own dedicated Medical Director – Dr. Sumer Verma. To assure an uninterrupted continuum of care, we have a special Weekend Manager covering Saturdays and Sundays. We believe that consistent staffing is key to assuring all around better continuity of care. This translates into residents having the same direct caregiver at all times – fostering a relationship of familiarity and trust. This holiday season, we are to the animals who bring so much joy to our residents. The New England Life Enrichment Team is coming together to collect donations in support of 27 local shelters across New England!

From Monday, December 1st to Sunday, December 22nd, donations can be dropped off at our center, or any of the centers listed below.

To renew the strength of our subacute patients we have created an upscale and reinvigorating environment that empowers one to return home as quickly as possible. Our Alden Road neighborhood is dedicated to the post-hospitalization care of individuals recovering from joint replacement, cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and other acute medical conditions, and features a state-of-the-art therapy gym with advanced technology including the AlterG® treadmill.
