💫Small update on Millie Lou 💫

Miss Millie had a follow up appointment today for her heart catheter and biopsy, she got labs drawn to check tacrolimis levels, and to check her blood for any signs of rejection. She also had an echocardiogram done. Heart failure team said Millie’s new heart is looking amazing and she has had no blood that shows rejection as well! I hope some day we can meet the amazing family who decided to selflessly give their sweet babies heart a whole new life through Millie, this has truly been the greatest gift anyone could have ever given. For that family we are incredibly thankful always, and if they follow Millie’s story we just genuinely hope they know how grateful we are and know that we are doing our best to protect it. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s been supporting us continuously and thank you to everyone who’s been praying constantly. Our family is very very blessed to have such an amazing support system like all of you 🫶🏼

A year ago today Millie received her Berlin heart, and today she’s sitting at home playing with a book,these pics are just proof that miracles do happen! So thankful for everyone who has been there for us on this journey and who has continuously prayed for my sweet girl, she’s happy as ever and thriving 🥰

We have great news! Heart failure got back to us regarding Millie’s rejection and her results were 0/0! She is not currently rejecting her heart anymore 🥺🥳 HUGE thank you to everyone who’s been praying for our sweet girl, the prayers absolutely worked 👏🏼

Small update on Millie Lou, since brother’s officially out of the NICU! Sweet girl has her heart catheter and biopsy tomorrow morning to check to see how her rejections looking. Also, on the brighter side of things, Millie has officially been tolerating all of her feeds which is a great sign and hopefully means she’s gained some weight! Wish us luck tomorrow for the best news possible 💓

Just an update on miss Millie since it’s been a minute! Millie is doing fairly well, today she’s just very very tired and a bit grouchy. :/ I also wanted to get on here and give a huge shoutout to Mitchell’s drugstore on the blvd! The man running the place personally delivered Millie’s medicine due to us being snowed in,and potentially saved her from horrible withdrawals! She could’ve had seizures,delirium,hypertension, ect. This man drove out in the weather to deliver her meds personally and we are very very grateful for him! We missed three doses due to children’s mercy accidentally not sending her any, so he really saved us! To whoever you were THANK YOU!!! On another note ,Millie has a couple of big appointments coming up due to missing her last biopsy from us being pretty sick. Millie also has not been tolerating her feeds or gaining weight. We will figure out what’s going on regarding her rejection during the next appointments, and more updates will be posted then! Thank you guys so much for the continuous support and prayers for Millie Lou 🥰

Small Millie update: we are currently sick, Millie had a fever this morning which has gone away, but she’s still puking,has a runny nose, and is coughing. Due to this happening she will be missing a heart catheter and echo appointment we were supposed to have tomorrow! Though she will miss that appointment we will still be getting labs done tomorrow in our hometown! Despite being a bit under the weather Millie is as happy as always watching her favorite shows and playing with her older brother 🥰

With only 4 days left till we are supposed to officially be released, heart failure decided it was okay for us to be home completely! Millie still will have weekly appointments and blood draws, and she is still actively rejecting but all they can do for rejection as of right now is prescribe her steroids. With that being said Millie is allowed to “reject at home” and we no longer have to be in the Ronald mccdonalds house 😊
