Triggered Focal Point Massage

Triggered Focal Point Massage Licensed Massage Therapist & Certified Stretch Facilitator. Clear results. No fluff. Just real relief. After that, I may reconsider.

Helping people in pain get real, lasting relief and moving freely again using targeted Neuromuscular Massage Therapy + Mobility Work. I’m Kay, a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Stretch Facilitator, and creator of a movement-based mobility program. I specialize in Precision Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (PNMT)—a clinical approach to pain relief and movement restoration. My goal is to restore balance, improve mobility, and enhance strength so you can perform at your highest potential. My work focuses on treating:

Chronic & acute pain

Soft tissue dysfunctions (limited mobility, joint restrictions)

Nerve-related conditions (sciatica, carpal tunnel, etc.) PNMT is a targeted, evidence-based therapy—not a relaxation massage. Through precise assessments and hands-on techniques, I work to correct muscular imbalances, release adhesions, and restore joint function for pain-free, optimal movement. As a Certified Stretch Facilitator, I integrate stretching to enhance flexibility, reduce tension, and support long-term mobility. I am also the founder of Freedom to Move Pain-Free, a structured mobility and movement program designed to maintain progress, build resilience, and eliminate movement limitations.

After opening the shoulders and upper back yesterday, today we let the neck move a little more freely.

This gentle neck flow combines side bending and rotation in a supported position, which is important because the neck isn’t meant to move in straight lines only. Daily life asks it to turn, tilt, and transition between positions smoothly, and when it hasn’t been doing that, movement can feel stiff or hesitant.

Lying on your back keeps the head supported, so the muscles along the sides and back of the neck can relax while the joints relearn how to move together.

Move slowly. Let the motion feel fluid, like you’re drawing a soft infinity symbol with your nose. There’s no rush here, the goal is to help your neck trust movement again.

If your shoulders feel heavy, your upper back feels stiff, or your neck always seems to be “doing the work,” this stretch is a great place to start.

The table top stretch helps open the muscles that connect your arms to your spine. Specifically the lats, triceps, muscles along the sides of your rib cage, and the front of the chest. When these areas are tight, they can pull the shoulders forward and limit how easily your upper back moves.

As those tissues begin to open, the neck often gets a little breathing room too. Even though you’re not stretching the neck directly, reducing tension through the shoulders and upper back can take pressure off the cervical spine and make turning or side bending feel less guarded.

Move into this slowly. Let your breath soften the stretch, and notice where you tend to hold or brace.

Tomorrow, we’ll build on this by gently exploring neck movement in a way that feels supported and controlled. Especially helpful if rotation or side bending has felt stiff or uncomfortable.

I have a few of openings available next month.
If you’ve been dealing with pain, stiffness, or movement that just doesn’t feel like it should, this is a good time to get in.

My work focuses on identifying why something hurts, not just where it hurts.

That means addressing the muscles, movement patterns, and nervous system input that are actually contributing to the problem, so your body can move and feel better long-term, not just temporarily.

These sessions are a good fit if:
• Pain keeps coming back
• Certain movements feel limited, guarded, or unpredictable
• You’re tired of “managing” symptoms instead of resolving them

If you’ve been thinking about booking but haven’t yet, now’s a solid window.

Thread the Needle is a stretch for the mid-back, ribs, shoulders, and the muscles along the side of your body, especially the ones that help you rotate and reach. That includes the muscles between your shoulder blades, the back of the shoulders, and the tissue along your ribs that often gets tight when you sit a lot or stop twisting your spine.

We’re moving into it slowly and then holding for a few seconds at the end so your body has time to actually feel the stretch, not just rush past it. That pause is important. It’s where the nervous system starts to relax and allows those tight areas to let go a little more.

By moving in and out of the stretch instead of forcing it, you’re teaching your body that rotation through the upper back is safe and available. That’s especially helpful if you deal with mid-back stiffness, shoulder tension, or feel restricted when you twist, reach, or turn your head.

Take it slow. Breathe into the stretch.

This isn’t about pushing deeper, it’s about creating space and control where your body needs it.

Bending isn’t the problem.

Teaching people to fear movement is.

Pain is rarely about one position or one moment. It’s about load, stress, recovery, and how safe the nervous system feels moving.

The goal isn’t avoidance.
It’s capacity.

Your body is adaptable, and movement is part of how we keep it that way.

If you're ready to tackle your back pain and start bending again, let me help you. Booking link in comments.

Flex Friday

Front-of-the-shoulder pain doesn’t always mean the shoulder is the problem.

In this session, the anterior deltoid was only one of several areas referring pain.
We also found trigger point referral from the serratus anterior, lat, and triceps, tissues that commonly feed shoulder pain, pinching, and limited movement during specific motions.

Treating the right tissues is what actually changes how the shoulder feels.

Pain patterns tell a story. You just have to listen.

Mobility Monday — Half-Kneeling Thoracic Rotations
Yesterday’s stretch opened the side body.

Today’s movement teaches your body how to use that space.
Stretching creates room in the tissues.

Mobility gives your nervous system the confidence to move there.

Half-kneeling thoracic rotations focus on the rib cage and upper-back movement while keeping the hips steady.

That matters because when the ribs don’t rotate well, the neck and shoulders usually pick up the slack, and that’s where tension and headaches build.

Move slowly.

Let your breath guide the rotation.
You’re not forcing range — you’re reinforcing control.

Stretch to create space.
Move to keep it.

Stretch Sunday
Half-kneeling side bend.

This movement opens the entire side body.
When you side bend like this, you’re creating space through:

• the neck and shoulders
• the rib cage
• the lats and low back
• the hip flexors (front of hip) and outer hip

These tissues often tighten up when we sit, brace, breathe shallow, or stay in one position for long periods of time. That’s why this stretch can feel relieving in places you didn’t expect.

Move slowly.
Let the breath expand into the side you’re opening.
No pulling, just gentle support.
This isn’t about forcing flexibility.
It’s about giving your nervous system permission to let go.

Tip: If one side feels dramatically tighter, that’s information — not a problem. Breathe there longer, not harder.

Can be done in a chair if getting on the floor is difficult.
