Radius Physical + Sports Rehab

Radius Physical + Sports Rehab Radius is a healthcare group of providers offering treatment to get out of pain quickly and prevent future injury.

Candidates for care include those with acute or chronic pain. Radius was born out of the belief that the same care that professional athletes receive should be available to all, and health care should work for patients first. Our team follows the latest peer reviewed research to deliver cutting edge, yet non-invasive care. To hold ourselves (and the industry) accountable, we track our outcomes and share them openly. Our mission is to get patients out of pain and on with their lives - not living in our clinic!

🧠 Our TBI Treatment Team Took a Field Trip!
Our TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) Rehab Team traveled to the University of Nevada, Reno for an immersive day of clinical collaboration and hands-on learning in the Neuromechanics Laboratory.

They received a direct download of the most current concussion research from Nicholas Murray, PhD, CIC, Director of the Neuromechanics Lab and MS Kinesiology Program Chair, and worked alongside Zoe Haddox, LAT, ATC from the UNR School of Public Health.

Together, they explored how current literature directly informs in-clinic concussion care, especially for patients suffering from acute or long-term symptoms after head trauma.

Our team practiced implementing current protocols such as:
✔️ Vestibular Ocular Motor Screening (VOMS)
✔️ Tandem Gait Assessment
✔️ Buffalo Concussion Treadmill Test
✔️ Computerized Cognitive Assessment

Each tool helps us tailor care to the unique presentation of symptoms our patients bring into the clinic! From dizziness and balance issues to eye tracking and brain fog.

If you’ve experienced a suspected concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI), your first visit at Radius is about understanding—not assumptions. 🧠💙

Here’s what to expect during your initial appointment with Dr. Grafton Prewett, DPT:

1. A sensory-safe environment – We adjust lighting, volume, and pace to meet your nervous system where it’s at.

2. A patient-led conversation – We prioritize your narrative, concerns, and symptom experience. This isn’t just data collection—it’s collaborative care.

3. A multimodal assessment – Because concussion affects more than one area of brain function, our evaluation looks at balance, cognition, visual tracking, and more. This integrative approach captures a fuller picture of what’s going on.

4. Honest, compassionate guidance – While we don’t diagnose concussions, we can determine if your symptoms are consistent with one. You’ll leave with clarity, not confusion—and a sense of what’s next.

🧠 Recovery isn’t always linear. But with the right support, it is possible.
