Coastline sends warm wishes to you and your family for a beautiful and happy Thanksgiving.

Our hearts are full from the generosity we’ve received in recent weeks, which has helped us provide food and support to older neighbors who need it most.

If you’d like to help us continue this work, you can make a donation at www.CoastlineNB.org, dine with us at our Dec. 3 Texas Roadhouse fundraiser in Dartmouth, or purchase a Community Shopping Bag at Stop & Shop on Kings Highway in December.

We are deeply grateful to be part of such a compassionate community. Thank you for standing with us and helping make sure no one feels forgotten this holiday.

Looking for a small way to make a big impact this holiday season?

All December long, the Stop & Shop on King’s Highway in New Bedford has selected Coastline as the beneficiary of its Community Bag program. For every reusable Community Bag purchased for $2.50, Coastline receives a $1 donation.

It’s an easy way to support older adults in our community while stocking up on a sturdy, long-lasting bag. If you’re in the area, please consider picking one up and help us spread the word!

If you’ve been following along, you may remember that earlier this month Coastline received a generous donation from The New Bedford Friends (Quakers) in response to the SNAP funding delay. We’re happy to share that, because of their kindness, we were able to purchase 300 grocery gift cards and mail them to our consumers who are most in need. The cards, shown here by Coastline CEO Justin Lees, are $50 each and should reach people in time for Thanksgiving.

We’re incredibly grateful to the New Bedford Friends and to everyone who supports our Meals on Wheels and nutrition programs. Your generosity helps make the holidays, and everyday life, a little easier for so many.

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks to everyone who came out to hear from Maureen and Ashley today! If you have questions about how Coastline programs might support you as you age, or eating well, call us at 508-999-6400.

Thank you to Maureen & Ashely from Coastline Elderly Services for coming to the center today to discuss Options Counseling as well as play some Nutrition Games!

Maureen is an Options Counselor. She discussed how counselors can meet with you in your home, a loved one’s home, at the hospital, in a nursing home/rehab or at Coastline’s office. The Options Counselors will help you navigate long-term care support options, Home Care services, Health Insurance coverage, potential home modifications, financial planning and other community resources.

Ashley played an interactive Jeopardy-style trivia game all about nutrition! Covering topics like food groups, nutrients, portion sizes, and label reading, this class was so much fun learning about healthy eating!!

Our Nutrition team was at the Fairhaven Senior Center yesterday, helping celebrate and honor all the veterans in town, and it looks like everyone had a great time!

A big thank-you to everyone who joined in, and a special shoutout to the volunteers from All Trust Credit Union for lending a hand and to Rep. Mark Sylvia for taking time out of his busy schedule to be part of the day.

We’re so grateful for our veterans and for the community that continues to show up to support them. Happy Veterans Day!
