Wondering if your child needs speech therapy? We’re here to help! At 18 months we like to see at least 10 words and at 2 years we like to see 50 words. At 2 years, your child should start to combine words into little phrases. If your child is frustrated, not imitating sounds or words, or isn’t meeting milestones, seek out a speech language pathologist. Early intervention is key! Meet Michelle Andrews M.S. CCC-SLP.
She is the founder of Pep Talk Pediatrics and speech-language pathologist. She is passionate about helping children communicate! Michelle’s specialities include early language development, “late talkers,” and speech sound disorders.
She graduated from Texas Women’s University with her master’s degree in speech-language pathology in 2014 and has been working with children in a variety of settings (schools, clinics, home health, virtual, and private practice).
Michelle enjoys creating materials for SLPs to use in therapy and publishing professional development courses for SLPs from her podcast. She is an advocate for continuing education and loves learning new evidence-based strategies to use in her practice.
