Dr. Pereira is an enthusiastic DPT and he has obtained extensive experience with MSK injuries working with professional athletes, musicians and dancers. Born in the US and raised in Brazil, he earned his first Physical Therapy degree in 2005. Dr. Pereira has since received his DPT degree from the University of Montana, among other titles in healthcare and administration. Dr. Pereira is a mindful practitioner combining comprehensive movement analysis, exceptional manual therapy and the Rx of precise corrective exercises to address the demands of each individual. In addition to pursuing new challenges and honing his knowledge, in his spare time he enjoys running, hiking and cycling. He also appreciates arts, playing music, and traveling.

Dr. Pereira is a senior, enthusiastic DPT, with expertise in Orthopedics, Sports Rehab and Geriatrics. His studies and experience encompass 2 continents and diverse cultures. He has accumulated scholarships and awards during his professional career and has published several scientific articles in multiple lines of research. He has extensive experience with sports injuries and has worked with a professional soccer team.
Dr. Pereira is deeply committed in optimizing the recovery and maximum performance of every patient. He is a mindful practitioner, with a focus on the “big picture”: understanding the body mechanics and the functional anatomy increases the individual’s awareness allowing self-treatment. The prevention of injuries is done through the education of the individual, increasing thus the health and wellness. “The causes and consequences of an injury can extend beyond those observed in the affected tissue”, Dr. Pereira explains “and for this reason I consider of paramount importance a comprehensive movement analysis of each patient”.
Dr. Pereira is fascinated with the human movement system and its latest scientific discoveries. His profound knowledge is proficiently applied in a combination of exceptional manual therapy techniques, the prescription of precise corrective exercises and joint stabilization through muscle activation and motor control to address the demands of each individual.
Born in the US and raised in Brazil, he earned his 1st PT degree in 2005. Dr. Pereira has since received his DPT + diverse certifications in healthcare admin and in the orthopaedic field. He has always delivered a high quality of care and has a personal commitment to excellence in patient care and scientific thinking. Dr. Pereira has several projects in healthcare administration and he is currently implementing projects to decrease healthcare costs around the globe.
Dr. Pereira is an active member of the APTA, the NYPTA, the APTA Orthopaedic Section, the ABPTS, the PMA and the CREFITO.
