“It Could’ve Been So Much Worse…”
Rylan Clark’s Mum Rushed to A&E After Horror Fall Outside Her Home
Rylan Clark’s mum, Linda Clark, has been rushed to hospital after a frightening fall outside her home that left her needing urgent treatment.
The Celebrity Gogglebox favourite slipped on ice while taking the rubbish out, mistaking it for water, and went flying. The heavy fall resulted in a fractured shoulder and an immediate trip to A&E.
Linda bravely shared the ordeal on her son’s BBC Radio 2 show, describing the pain and shock of the accident.
“I just went flying and I hurt my arm again,” she told listeners, adding that her arm was “black” with bruising and “so sore” she could barely move it.
Rylan admitted the call he received that morning left him shaken.
“That was a lovely phone call — you on your way to the hospital,” he said, before adding with relief, “But it could’ve been worse. It could’ve been your arm and your leg like we’ve had before.”
He urged her to slow down, saying: “Be careful. I need you to not make it any worse.”
Rylan later reassured fans who flooded the show with messages of support.
“She’s alright by the way,” he said. “She’s fractured her shoulder. I just can’t help her — you know what she’s like, always rushing around.”
He confirmed on Instagram that he’d stepped back from hosting while Linda recovered, thanking the emergency team at Princess Alexandra Hospital for their care. Soon after, he shared happier news: Linda was home and hoping to celebrate her birthday — though, typically, she was already worrying about the wheelie bins again.
This isn’t Linda’s first health scare. She was hospitalised after a fall in Marbella in 2022 that required surgery, and she lives with Crohn’s disease, a condition she has managed for decades.
Despite it all, those close to her say Linda remains determined, resilient — and very much a fighter.
