⚓🌿 History, learning, and a little food inspiration 🌿⚓
We spent the day exploring the USS North Carolina, learning all about its history — from life aboard the ship to how thousands of sailors were fed while serving at sea. It was such a meaningful (and fun!) way to bring history to life.
One of my favorite parts was seeing the kitchen and bakery, where fresh bread was made to keep morale up and bellies full. Even during wartime, good food mattered — something that really stuck with me.
It was a reminder that whether you’re feeding sailors at sea or families at home, food has always been about care, comfort, and connection. That’s a value I carry right into everything we grow and bake at Golden Greens 🌱🍞
And let’s be honest… after seeing the massive industrial mixer on the ship, I’m fully convinced Golden Greens definitely needs one that big.
