🌿 Meet Maleah – Our New Intern at Grace Counseling’s Outpatient Office! 🌿

We’re excited to welcome Maleah! She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work through the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is passionate about supporting others on their healing journeys.

Maleah values meeting people where they are and creating a safe, welcoming space where clients feel seen and heard. Guided by empathy and respect, she strives to understand each person’s unique story and goals.

She is pursuing a career in mental health to help individuals build resilience, growth, and self-compassion. We’re so glad to have her join our team! 💚

🌿 Last Friday, Grace Counseling had the pleasure of participating in the very first Juneau County Aging Expo! It was amazing to see so many great resources available in our community and to connect with attendees about the services we offer at Grace Counseling. 💚

What an awesome first-year event — so well organized and full of helpful information to support our county residents in aging well. We can’t wait to be part of it again next year! 🙌

🌟 Welcome to the Team, Tamara Eden! 🌟

We are excited to welcome Tamara Eden to our CCS team as a Community Rehabilitation Specialist!

Tamara brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, CCAR Recovery Coach certification, and a Substance Use Disorders certification from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has also completed all educational hours toward her SAC-IT credential.

With a strong background supporting adults and youth in community, residential, corrections, and law enforcement settings, Tamara is passionate about walking alongside others on their journey to becoming their happiest and healthiest selves. She leads with compassion, empathy, respect, and a nonjudgmental approach. 💙

Outside of work, she enjoys time with family and friends, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and caring for her three small dogs. 🐾

🌟 Welcome Sophia to Grace Counseling! 🌟

Sophia is a Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT) with a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She creates a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard and understood, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs.

Her approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. ✨ Sophia is passionate about walking alongside clients on their journey toward growth and healing.

Grace Counseling & Family Services is offering school-based therapy—right at your child’s school! 💚

This service is independent of the school and takes place on-site, making it more accessible for students. Children can be excused from class for therapy in a confidential and safe environment.

📌 To request school-based therapy services:
✔️ Call us at 608-562-3976
✔️ Visit the School Office to ask about a Referral Form
✔️ Scan the QR code and complete the “Request for Outpatient Therapy Form,” specifying that you’d like school services and your child’s school

🌿 Celebrate National Wellness Month with Wellness Bingo! 🌿

August is National Wellness Month, and what better way to celebrate than with a little self-care challenge?

We created a Wellness Bingo Card full of simple, feel-good ideas to help you focus on your mental, emotional, and physical health. You can pick up a copy in any of our offices or print the one shared below!

✨ Some of the bingo squares include:
• Go for a nature walk 🌳
• Do something creative 🎨
• Perform a random act of kindness 💛
• Walk barefoot in the grass 🌿
• Write down 3 things you love about yourself 📝

Each small action helps build a healthier, more mindful you — and it’s more fun when you do it with friends or coworkers! Challenge yourself to complete a row, or go for a full card blackout!
