We are proud to announce that Wetzel County Hospital has been recognized by The Chartis Group for the 2025 Performance Leadership Awards in the Patient Outcomes Category. The Performance Leadership Awards program is based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, a comprehensive and objective framework for assessing how rural hospitals are performing. Yesterday morning, WVU Medicine Wetzel County Hospital was proud to represent at the State of Wetzel County Breakfast, hosted by the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce. It was a wonderful morning of community connection, and we were grateful for the opportunity to share the exciting healthcare advancements WVU Medicine is making in our region — many of which are the first of their kind in this area.

Our President and CEO, Tony Martinelli, spoke about several of our specialties, services, and even some exciting developments coming soon.

A heartfelt thank-you to the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce for hosting this great event, and to the Wetzel County Technical Education Center for accommodating us!
