👀 WHERE DO VEGANS GET THEIR PROTEIN ❔

This is one if the most common questions I get asked.

There’s a huge misconception that in order to get protein you have to eat meat 🥩 and this is usually one of the reasons I hear people say they can’t be vegan 🌱 along with concerns of not wanting to lose weight or muscle.

But did you know getting protein from meat 🍖 is just a third party source and you’re actually depriving your body of other nutrients that you won’t get from meat alone...

Just look at some of the largest animals on the planet 🦍🦒🦧🐘, where do you think they get their protein from? 😉🌱🍌🥬

🤔 So where exactly do we get our protein? Legumes are the highest sources followed by pumpkin seeds and h**p seeds.

When you are eating balanced meals daily you won’t have to worry about getting toe daily recommendation of protein because most fruits and vegetables have some amount of protein in them.

No one can force their opinions on you to make changes in any area of your life, you’ll do it when you’re ready ⏰

Your WHY is the driving force for you to change, it can be anything... to live long enough to see your grandkids, lose weight, reverse a illness 🤧...

My WHY when it came to becoming vegan was my skin, when my acupuncturist told me I needed to stop eating the way I was to get clear skin I quit the next week 💪🏽

👂🏽First thing I hear after people tell me they want to start eating healthier

“I can’t......” followed by however many reasons they have made up in their head as to why they really can’t do it

These stories are just words you told yourself over and over to a point where you believe them so guess what

If you really want to change you CAN do it

Just replace those constant “I can’t” with a “I can”

I used to say I can’t eat healthy, I can’t give up cheese, I can’t go without... but guess what I have done so for almost 4 years now 🌱💪🏽

Unfortunately most people don’t find the willingness to live healthier until they receive news from their healthcare provider

Don’t let this be the case for you! If you’ve thought about living and eating healthier why not start today!!??

When I get up in the morning about 15/20m before I’m ready to make my smoothie I’ll take the bag out the freezer and let it unthaw so I can blend it easily

Today I added 3 tablespoons of h**p seeds for protein and coconut milk unsweetened

Found a new lil spot with plant based options 🌱😏
I got the build your own

- beyond brawt
- arugula
- caramelized onions
- fried onions
- pickles
- sweet ginger glaze
- spicy brown mustard
- and side of onion rings

This was definitely worth it! *disclaimer* I can’t guarantee everything pictured is 100% plant based, I decided to get the Hawaiian roll bun instead of the French roll or lettuce wrap 🥬

You may very well carry a gene 🧬 within your family that causes a chronic illness, but just because that gene runs in the family doesn’t mean you have to suffer from it.

You can simply choose to make different lifestyle habits than the family members before you and watch the difference it can make

Making sure to get the proper amount of exercise, the environment you choose to surround yourself in, and the foods you choose to your body will either help you or hurt you

It’s up to you to decide, choose healthy 🌱

Tried a new spot last night and it was 🔥🔥 !!

It’s called and there menu is so satisfying!

I got the spinach dip & chips as a appetizer and the jackfruit sandwich that was topped with tomato, pickles, sweet & spicy bbq, spinach, and onion 😋 and fries for my side

I was sooo pleased with my choice and I can’t wait to order from them again.

Side note: I was supposed to be traveling across the US this year doing a vegan tour and Mrs Rona shut that down for me 😒 it’s still a plan when all this is over! @ Vegan With A Twist
