The Parenting Center at Children's Hospital

We offer classes, advice by phone, and resources to parents of toddlers to teens.

The Parenting Center, a department of Manning Family Children’s, is dedicated to helping parents and grandparents deal with the ordinary challenges of raising children. The Parenting Center at Children's hospital helps parents and grandparents develop competence and confidence and offers practical parenting suggestions to help with the ordinary stresses of raising children. The staff of parent educators include clinical social workers, an early childhood educator and a registered nurse who help families grow from birth to adolescence. The Parenting Center provides classes, book & video lending libraries, playrooms in two locations, Uptown (with play yard) and Metairie.

We got MESSY at Art & Messy Play today making snow in the playroom. ❄️ It's squishy, crumbly, and surprisingly cold, just like the real thing.

DIY recipe:
2 cups baking soda
1/3 cup white conditioner
Add more conditioner until you like the texture.
