A foggy stroll through the Quarter.

There’s a point in the night where the giant burger from .metairie meets the 1/2 price bottle of wine and you wonder, “Is this responsible adulthood?” Why yes, yes it is.

Thick patty cooked perfectly, melty cheese, fries that hit with that salt-to-crunch ratio, and a bottle of wine that didn’t break the bank because surprise, it's half off. Even that bottle of Caymus we had. Add live music and it becomes a Wednesday that future me will be revisiting.

Glad I found this deal on the . I'll be using it to find some of the best Happy Hours in town too.

Second Line in the Sky is officially lit.

Suspended high above the 100–300 blocks of Bourbon Street, this memorial honors the 14 lives lost on January 1 with nearly 1,000 hand-crafted flags, soft lights, and symbols inspired by our city's second line traditions. Each flag holds photos, prayers, and messages from the families, creating a glowing canopy that feels both heavy and hopeful as you walk beneath it.

Created by Katy Casbarian of and produced by Studio West .west.design, it’s a space for reflection, healing, and remembering together and is on display through January 18. A beautiful bittersweet sweet reminder worth taking a moment to stroll down this famous street to experience and reflect.
