Bariatric Counselor Bariatric and Obesity Prevention Therapy, Pre and Post WLS Counseling Services We work on a sliding scale fee for service system.

Each client is considered individually, and your rates are based on what you can afford for services. Counseling is an investment in yourself, and will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge to be independent and able to function well on your own. Individual needs vary, but a minimum of 6 counseling sessions are recommended, however may vary according to client needs. You determine how long you stay in counseling. We are here to support you through the pre- and post surgical weight loss issues.

I know I don't post much anymore, but this morning I found myself researching the neurobiology of trauma and obesity. Correlation does not equal causation but it is an interest to understand it better. How was your weight connected to trauma? Did it originate in childhood or adulthood for you?
