Happy New Year! We are beyond proud of our art piece for Preservation Hall. It’s Sweets, the resident cat, perched atop a replica of the iconic bass drum. And- wait for it- it shoots confetti out of dual cannons at the press of a button.

We LOVED this idea for a Gender Reveal Party! We don’t usually fill the piñatas, but in this special case we did and the parents discovered their baby’s gender when they busted this stork piñata open. So fun- and total honor for us!

Here’s more info for the Open Studios tonight! Use the address 2840 N. Claiborne to find the gate on my side of the complex. I’m basically directly upstairs from the illustrious Darrin Butler and in the same section as badasses such as Clayton Stephens, Duct Tape Pendergast, Nurhan Gokturk, and of course, my man, Jeremy Gresham.

Congratulations to Rebecca Wilcomb on winning a well deserved award! She was one of the first ppl to support Pinyaya, ordering this Ugly Christmas Sweater before we even finished building our workshop. (And, yeah- it actually lit up) We adore you, Rebecca!!!!

It's been incredibly validating and inspiring to get so many permanent sculpture commissions this year, but gotta say it felt soooooooo good to jump back into our party lovin' glue pot roots for this piñata. Happy birthday, Lezlie!

We love piñatas, but are also thrilled how many other sculpture commissions we've been getting lately.
And, look how happy dis guy is with our ridiculously fat and happy dancing pig he commissioned for the Pig Slayer tent at Hogs for the Cause! Thanks for the support, Reno!
It's gorgeous weather, Hogs is fantastically fun and raises money for families contending with pediatric brain cancer. So, get your ass out to the lakefront and say hi to our pig when you're out there.
