It’s been a while since I introduced myself and by a while, I literally mean back in August of 2018 when I first started my page and was a little baby in college lol (swipe ➡️ to see that post).

Hi, my name is Ashley. I am 28 years old. I started this page in 2018 when I was a 22 year old college student. I had just recently went through an episode of Uveitis. It hurt so bad!!! My eye was red, runny, I couldn’t look at light or it would cause me excruciating pain, was massively itchy and just all around painful.

I went to an eye doctor for this issue who prescribed me some medicine. When I asked him what caused this, he said he didn’t know, that this was a very common issue amongst older people and was likely to come back. I had also been dealing with sciatic nerve pain in my lower back and leg off and on since I was in high school. Another doctor (a middle aged black woman) told me the exact same thing. I was fed up because how are you a doctor, but you’re not able to offer me any real solutions?

Randomly one day, my dad sent me a Dr Sebi video. I can’t remember exactly what the video was about, but I was immediately captivated by what he said and was like yeah I’m doing this. So I adopted the African Bio Mineral Lifestyle. Cold turkey stopped eating meat and dairy, put any junk/processed/non vegan thing I had into a box.

I did a 7 day juice fast with apple juice, water and ginger tea. I failed the first time after 3 days and ate a subway sandwhich and was so sick 😂 but I tried again a few days later and was successful this time. After that I went on YouTube and made meals using Dr Sebi’s Nutritional Guide.

I continued on this trail until I moved home and was no longer living by myself. The red beans and gumbo definitely got me lol After that it was an up and down journey. I finally went fully plant based after 2 long years and I’ve never looked back since then. I don’t strictly follow Dr Sebi’s Nutritional Guide, but I still do mostly. I have the greatest respect for Dr Sebi. He taught me so much. I wouldn’t be here had he decided not to pursue the Divine Mission God placed upon his life. Rest in Peace King 💜🕊️

I feel so good getting back into making content 🤗 I really be hoarding videos. I filmed this way in July of last year 😭😭😭

Anyway, I hate how bad of a rep salads get! I understand though because I used to not like salads either. Even after transitioning to veganism lol But in the last 2 years, I’vebstarted eating raw foods more and now salads have a special place in my heart 🫶🏾

This recipe was inspired by 💜 She featured this salad combo in one of her YouTube videos and it’s become one of my favorites!

Ingredients:
Green kale
Arugula
Green onions
Cherry tomatoes
Micro greens
Avocado
Paired with a red bell pepper and tahini ginger dressing 😋🔥🔥🔥

I brought my Juicer in September of 2019 and I haven’t had store brought juice since!

Because when you really think about it, we are living beings. We should be consuming living foods. If something has been sitting on a shelf for a long periodically time, then it can not possibly have any life in it and more than likely has been adultered so much to the point where it has nothing to feed you anyway.

When you consume things that don’t feed/give to you, you are essentially taking away from your body. Over time, that constant subtraction will eventually lead to a nutrient and mineral depleted body. And this is exactly where disease begins to manifest.

Sounds extreme, but when you look around at all the people eating fake, nutrient deficient and “shelf” food, you can see the direct correlation of how this concept has manifested in their level of health and state of living.

Buy fresh. Eat fresh. Period.
