Your mat is waiting, whether you’re craving gentle movement, a steady flow, or simply a moment to breathe.

All of my classes are beginner-friendly, budget-friendly, and welcoming to every body. You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be flexible. You just need to show up.

As the week begins to wind down, it’s the perfect time to check back in with yourself. So often we pour our energy into everyone and everything else, but a regular yoga practice invites us to return home to our bodies, steady our minds, and refill our cups before the weekend arrives.

Consistency in your practice isn’t about being perfect… it’s about showing up. Each time you step on your mat, you build strength, resilience, balance, and a deeper connection to yourself that carries into everyday life.

Strength doesn’t always mean pushing harder, sometimes it means creating space to breathe. ✨

In this sequence, we begin in Warrior 1 with the elbows hugging in by the rib cage. As the hands open and close, we invite expansion across the chest and shoulders before reaching the arms up into a full expression of the pose.

Why this movement matters:
• Opening and closing the hands activates the muscles of the arms and upper back, helping improve posture.
• It encourages mobility in the shoulders while gently strengthening them.
• Expanding through the chest supports deeper, more nourishing breaths.
• Coordinating movement with breath helps regulate the nervous system and bring you into the present moment.

• Builds strength and stability in the legs and hips
• Stretches the hip flexors and calves
• Improves balance and focus
• Energizes the entire body while grounding you at the same time

Strength doesn’t always mean pushing harder, sometimes it means slowing down, finding your balance, and reconnecting to your body.

This clip is from our Tuesday evening Flow From Home Zoom class, a space where you can roll out your mat, move with intention, and take an hour just for you without ever leaving the house.

These poses are some of my favorites because they support us in the ways we need most:

✨ Side lunge variations help build strength in the legs while creating space through the hips and ribs so we can breathe a little deeper.
✨ Twists encourage spinal mobility and can leave you feeling refreshed and energized.
✨ Balance work strengthens the muscles that support our joints, improves focus, and reminds us how powerful it is to stay steady, even when life feels a little wobbly.

Yoga isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up for yourself exactly as you are and giving your body the care it deserves.

Update for classes this week!

1. NO Gentle Yoga at Cumberland Town Hall!
2. We have our last FREE Flow from Home. Starting Feb. 3rd the class will be $5 and you will need to reserve your spot!
3. Lions Club pipes are frozen! 🥶 Hopefully they thaw by Thursday, if not we will move this class to Zoom only!
4. Fingers crossed that roads are clear and we can all safely make it to Gentle Yoga on Friday!
