Pictured below Honey is showing off a core kinesiology taping application. This taping pattern is ideal for helping core weakness/instability.

Indications that an equine may benefit from this application are…

🌵 Poor posture- dropped back, tucked pelvis, or general asymmetry throughout the body.

🌵Trouble with collection or back engagement- rounding the back or bringing their hind up underneath them is difficult.

🌵Muscle imbalances- noticeable differences in muscle development, especially in the abdominal or back muscles.

🌵History of back pain or injury- horses recovering or experiencing current back issues can benefit from the added support and proprioceptive input.

🌵Sensitivity- flinching or twitching (general reactivity) when touching their back or abdominal muscles (pain)!

Featuring a super adorable picture of the sweetest boy wearing a flower I found right by his foot during our session together.🐴❤️

KTaping the glutes has been so beneficial for this boy! Keeping the muscular tension in this area at a minimum has allowed his pelvis to balance itself over time. He previously was compensating for a restricted left hip due to a pelvic tilt!

❓Can a piece of cotton kinesiology tape truly help an animal that can weigh 1,000+ lbs❓

🌵KTape creates a gentle lift of the skin and hair. This action is super beneficial; leading to microscopic space between the skin and the tissues underneath. It basically gives all the important structures more “room” to breathe.

🌵Being one of few therapies that provide a “decompressive” force it results in:
