Wild Bunch Special Olympics

Wild Bunch Special Olympics Wild Bunch Special Olympics provides sports training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities of all ages in New Ulm and surrounding area.

The Wild Bunch Special Olympics team is founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction and encouragement, learn, enjoy and benefit from participation in individual and team sports, adapted as necessary to meet the needs of those with intellectual and physical disabilities. We believe that consistent training is essential to the development of sports skills, and that competition among those of equal abilities is the most appropriate means of testing these skills, measuring progress and providing incentives for personal growth. The Wild Bunch as part of Special Olympics Minnesota believes that through sports training and competition, people with intellectual disabilities benefit physically, mentally and socially; families are strengthened; and the community at large, both through participation and observation, is united in understanding people with intellectual disabilities in an environment of equality, respect and acceptance. Our Values:
Respect – Valuing and accepting human differences and the unique abilities of all people in our communities

Accomplishment - Celebrating the fulfillment of individual potential

Choice - Providing opportunities for self-determination

Quality - Striving for excellence in all we do

Partnership - Achieving more than we can alone by collaborating with others

Integrity - Fostering a culture based on the highest standards of personal and professional principles

UPDATE: Myron has offered to increase the prize to $50 (out of his own pocket!) to the athlete that sells the most spaghetti supper tickets! What a great incentive to get out there and sell those tickets. If you need more, please let Myron or me know and we will make sure you get some.

Hello Athletes!
As an incentive to sell spaghetti supper tickets, we've decided to offer $25 to the person who sells the most tickets! As you all know, we really need this to be a success! Good Luck!

The New Ulm Special Olympics Organization is sponsoring a “drive through” style spaghetti fundraiser on Friday, November 7 from 4-7pm at the American Legion in New Ulm. You can buy tickets from any of our athletes or contact myself or Myron Seidl and we will make sure to get you some. Tickets are $12 each and if you’re not a spaghetti fan or won’t be around on the 7th, please consider donating** as these funds are how we keep our program running and can offer sports to our athletes at no cost to them.
We prefer to pre-sell tickets (so we can estimate the amount of food needed) but you can buy tickets at the event that night.
**Donations can be made by using the QR code below.

A long and hot season ended at a cool and very successful state tournament at Oak Marsh in Oakdale. We came home with 2 Golds and 2 silver medals!! Seeing these 4 improve throughout the year has been amazing! Coach James has been an amazing first year asset to our program. I couldn’t do it without him! Thank you so much to Tim and the crew at New Ulm Country Club for allowing us the equipment and facilities to practice every week!
