A reminder to drink your H20. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💧“A healthy va**na needs the same hygienic attention as any other part of the body, similar to the way we care for our face. The skin of the va**na is susceptible to dryness if not taken care of properly.” When your body isn't properly hydrated, the outside skin of your va**na—including the l***a majora and l***a minora—are more likely to be dry, Sherry A. Ross, M.D. says. The same goes for the inside of your va**na: If you’re drinking enough water, your va**na should be well-lubricated.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💧How much? The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Sciences recommends 11-16 cups. Though they also remind us water can come from sources other than the tap (shoutout NYC for having outstanding tap water). Fruits/veggies high in water count. So does your tea, coffee, and bougie la criox. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💧What can staying hydrated do for your skin? The fact is that skin is an organ, and just like any other part of the body. your skin is made up of cells. And skin cells, like any other cell in the body, are made up of water. Without water, the organs will certainly not function properly or at their best. If your skin is not getting a sufficient amount of water, the lack of hydration will present itself by turning your skin dry, tight, and flaky. Dry skin has less resilience and is more prone to wrinkling.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

💧Working out/sweating? Replace those electrolytes and the water you lost during your sweat session!
