We are writing with an exciting announcement! New York City area medical schools have come together to host a virtual conference to share lessons learned thus far from the epicenter of this crisis. Reason # 10000 why hospital staff are heroes: it is nearly impossible to breathe when wearing N95s correctly, and they have to do it all day long. Melissa Hill and Sarah MacLean (both MS3s) are happy to help keep them safe by bringing these uncomfortable-yet-effective masks and other PPE on the PPE task force at Mount Sinai West!!

(Left to right) Shravani Pathak (MS3), Samuel Paci (MS3), Sindhura Gopinath (PhD), and Mark Roberto (PhD), members of the PPE task force distribute and run PPE at Mount Sinai West. They inventoried PPE stock, coordinated with different floors, and distributed PPE across the hospital based on need. Students do these tasks 24/7! Thanks to the PPE task force and the pictured students!
