Right now, everyone’s just doing their best to feel safe, grounded, connected, alive, grateful, and hopeful. It’s REALLY freaking hard when we’re constantly bombarded with bad news from every possible direction... But getting on my mat for a quick 20 minutes during lunch today lifted my spirits and I’m ready to tackle the rest of the day from a more elevated headspace.

Loving reminder to take 10 short minutes to put your phone away, turn off the news, close your laptop, and do something — ANYTHING — that leaves you feeling even a tiny bit better. We all need it right now 🌻✨

Jackfruit “carnitas” 🤤 I’ve been playing around with meatless alternatives to some of my favorite dishes, and was pleasantly surprised with how good these tacos actually turned out 🌮

Ok... if you’re expecting these to taste like *actual* carnitas, you’re going to be disappointed 🙄 BUT, if you keep an open mind they’re actually pretty damn tasty!!!

Wish I could tell you I had a recipe for this dish, but I honestly just tossed a bunch of spices in a pan and threw it together with tortillas and yummy taco toppings.

I often have to remind myself to be gentle with myself. To find the right balance of holding myself accountable while also being kind to myself in the process.

I think it’s our nature to continually strive for more. To achieve more. To do more. To BE more. And it should be! It’s a great motivator for growth and change — but it can also be our downfall.

Always wanting more can lead us to completely forget everything we already have, everything we already are, and everything we’ve already accomplished.

So, yes, keep pushing forward. But also be gentle with yourself. Take time to appreciate how far you’ve already come. After all, you are a child of the universe.
