Thankfully a new modality is developing within the field of integrative health in New York, Oncology Massage. With over a decade of experience in the field I sought to add these skills at the preeminent school for oncology massage in New York, the Center for the Achievement for the Therapeutic Arts (CATA). OncoLogical is disseminating specific strategies and techniques in massage therapy which are research based for oncology patients. Proven benefits from massage therapy for patients with cancer or chronic illnesses are reduced anxiety, reduced pain level, improved immunity and improved ability to sleep. OncoLogical services also include providing treatment to patients with chronic illnesses. Although the main mission of OncoLogical is to provide therapeutic services if a patient desires day spa services can also be provided if medically appropriate.
