The Bravest Life Encouraging everyday bravery through health, movement and story. But it’s more than just that. BRAVEST is about being motivated, every day, to do just that.

Hosted by Craig Kasper, BRAVEST is about helping you live your healthiest life possible despite any obstacles you might face along the way. While we all face obstacles on a day to day basis, on the show we focus on attacking life with diabetes, from the inside out. BRAVEST is really about developing a blueprint to help anyone overcome obstacles in their life to achieve health in mind, body and spirit. Whether you’re a true athlete, or if you're someone with diabetes just getting started on the quest for health and well-being, we can all use help dialing in our mindset, nutrition and fitness know-how. Ultimately, we'll help you to figure out how to accomplish this effectively and continue to elevate yourself over and over again so you can make your greatest contribution to the people around you. What we’re embarking on is not just a purely selfish venture. While we'll be zeroing in on how to take our health to the next level, it’s truly about contributing to something that is much greater than ourselves.

Over the past few years, I’ve been massively inspired by the athletes who launched Their mission is simple: show those with diabetes that anything is possible, once you just start moving. It’s not about the distance, or the finishing time. It’s the journey. Today, I joined a crew of cyclists as we circled the island of Manhattan to support this amazing organization. Thanks to everyone who donated, to all the riders, and thank you to and for the important space you all hold on this crazy planet.

Next up in our mini-season highlighting some incredible T1D athletes is Brandon Denson. Brandon is a super active figure in the diabetes world through his creative work and new non-profit called Bolus Maximus. But before he was the roller blading community builder he is today, Brandon was a kid from Michigan with big dreams of playing pro football. Brandon carved his path from a high school diagnosis, through division one college ball, straight into the pros. But it’s his work shining a spotlight on inequalities in healthcare that makes him a true force to be reckoned with.

If you’ve been watching the CBS reality show you’re going to be familiar with my guest on today’s show. Sarah Burkett is a former college track star, police officer, trainer, now mechanical pipe welder, who persevered to become one of the final three contestants on this season of the show. She also happens to be living with type 1 diabetes. Sarah is a true force of nature and an inspiration to all of us to rise up despite what the world throws at us.

On May 8th, I will be joining a crew of cyclists as we circle the island of Manhattan all in support of the non-profit organization Diabetes Sports Project.

The mission of DSP is to empower the nearly 26 million people affected by type 1 and type 2 diabetes in the United States. Through community engagement along with competition in the biggest sporting events in the world, DSP motivates and educates millions of people impacted by diabetes. Comprised of the world’s elite diabetic athlete ambassadors, DSP inspires and educates the diabetes community to achieve their goals and aspirations.

The goal of this year's ride is to share DSP’s message that anything is possible despite a diagnosis while raising funds to help support DSP’s mission.

Want to join us in making a difference? We're raising money to benefit Diabetes Sports Project Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact. Please consider following the LinkTree link in my bio to make a donation. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this important cause that means so much to me.
