Writing to Heal Therapeutic Writing and Mindfulness workshops are monthly workshops geared towards helping participants use writing to unpack limiting beliefs, process emotional stressors, and practice active mindfulness in order to reclaim personal awareness. The first workshop was held in October 2017 in Philadelphia, PA and was created to fill the need for a safe space for individuals, especially LGBT+ identifying people of color, to unpack and process stress, trauma, and break free from the micro aggressions we face daily.
Through guided writing prompts, reflection, and candid conversation, participants are welcomed into a safe environment where sharing is encouraged but not mandatory. All that is required is that participants bring with them an open mind, respect for the space, and their favorite notebook.
