The Fertility RN As a fertility nurse of 5 years I’ll help you navigate your reproductive health journey with ease

Obsessed with this trend — thank god I answered that message and left the toxic work culture at the hospital.

Med Surg works for many many nurses but it was not the fit for me — I’m forever grateful I left bedside medicine for fertility and my goal is to one day guest lecture at nursing schools about the importance of nurses working in reproductive medicine, grow as a nurse, learn business skills by building , collaborate with non profit organizations and consult in the femtech space.

Shoutout to the collaborations over the years that have fueled my growth as an IVF nurse:

I’d love to share my experience with your nurses and the impact they can make on the lives of so many trying to explore their reproductive future

I promise you the guy who isn’t texting you back will not be the man holding your hand at every doctor appointment.

The high I shared: on our way to be induced for our son 2 years ago

The lows I shared: sudden pregnancy loss due to my cervix opening spontaneously at 18 weeks last year

I share my journey hoping even just one person feels less alone in the rollercoaster of family planning.

Under a law called the “One Big Beautiful Bill”, the Department of Education (DOE) is redefining which graduate programs count as “professional degree” programs.

Nurses still graduate, get licensed, and practice. Our professional legitimacy in healthcare doesn’t vanish.
But the financial burden for advanced education (MSN, DNP) may increase, which could discourage people from pursuing these paths.

Because of this reclassification, graduate nursing students may face lower borrowing limits, Students in nursing (if not considered “professional” under this rule) could be limited to $20,500/year, and $100,000 lifetime.

One major problem here is the concern that it could make advanced nursing education less accessible and worsen nurse shortages.

The United States is already facing a healthcare crisis: not just financially, but the supply is not meeting the demand. There are too many healthcare deserts in the U.S. and we see this happening very much so in the field of women’s maternal health.

Healthcare workers are facing mental and physical burnout in the aftermath of Covid 19 which has led to higher turnover rates and reduction in the quality in staffing.

Instead of incentivizing more qualified individuals to become nurses — this power play by the department of education is only going to limit the pool of applicants of people who are even able to entertain the idea of one day becoming a part of the workforce.

In the end, everyone loses.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

We all are like this — we experience something terrible in our lives or are going through a tremendously difficult challenge and feel like we are the ONLY ones.

I felt this way when everyone had a boyfriend before I did, my best friends were getting engaged while I was going through a breakup, pregnancy announcements when I was miscarrying and even seeing everyone’s renovated kitchen when I’m just happy to have a place to eat.

It’s so easy to feel left behind.

I started after countless people wanted to talk to me about the struggles of trying to conceive when ALL of their friends were pregnant, thinking of freezing their eggs because ALL of their friends were getting married and they felt stuck on the apps.

I always smiled and said, I promise you, you’re not alone.

I’ll always be here to support you each. Step. Of. The. Way.

You’re not alone.

1 in 6 couples will struggle to conceive.
Egg freezing is now a sign of female empowerment.

You got this.
