Not the race day I planned, but the one I needed. It stirred up a lot in me, and it’s one I won’t forget. I was disappointed because I’ve worked so hard, but I realized this race wasn’t about my time on the clock.
This past year has been full of struggles and setbacks, and there were some really dark moments where I almost gave up on myself. But training through it all gave me the strength to keep going. I’m strong. I don’t quit, and I don’t fold.
I train and race for myself — but crossing that finish line felt like reclaiming something I had lost and closing the door on the people and situations that tried to dim my light.
Here’s to whatever comes next. 🏊🚴🏃🏻
