Emotions are what help us navigate our Mondays and everyday of the busy week. When emotions run deep, grounding keeps us centered. The Root and Sacral Chakras help us feel safe as we navigate transformation.

How do you stay grounded during emotionally intense times? For example:

•Meditation or breathwork

•Physical bodywork (massage, acupuncture)

•Creative expression (art, music, movement)

•Time in nature

•Add your grounding techniques below!

The Assignment:
Support your grounding with acupressure at Flora Healing Bodyworks to strengthen your Root Chakra. For extra balance, place a piece of Black Tourmaline or Obsidian at your feet during meditation.

Navigating colonial holidays can feel heavy — a mix of celebration, grief, resistance, and remembrance. Many of us hold a quiet cognitive dissonance: wanting to gather with loved ones while honoring the truth that these days exist because Indigenous lands were stolen and Indigenous peoples were displaced, harmed, and erased.
Honoring that tension is an act of awareness.
Honoring Indigenous people is an act of respect.
Honoring our ancestors is an act of healing.

One way to move through this season with intention is to offer land acknowledgments or land offerings — a moment of gratitude for the original stewards of the land you’re on. This can look like:

✨ Speaking the name of the Indigenous nations whose land you occupy
✨ Leaving offerings of water, cornmeal, or flowers
✨ Donating to Indigenous organizations or land-back movements
✨ Sharing stories, teachings, or history that uplift Indigenous voices
✨ Spending time in nature with reverence and reciprocity

For many, these practices help soothe the generational trauma carried in our bodies — the inherited stories of displacement, assimilation, and survival that shape our mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Acknowledging this pain creates space for restoration, grounding, and connection to something larger than ourselves.
May we honor the land, honor the truth, and honor the people who are still here, still resisting, still thriving.
