I’ve been speaking with some clients recently about the expectations many people have when it comes to a therapy session. A massage will rarely resolve years of chronic tension in your body. Massage is just one piece of the puzzle — what happens in the time between massages is actually more important: your posture, how you move, how you sit — all of these have a greater impact on the outcome. It’s a great opportunity to observe how we use our bodies.

• Sit down for a few minutes and think about the times when your body feels stiff or has limited mobility•

Consciously or unconsciously, it’s likely that your mood wasn’t in the best place at that moment either. This shows just how deeply connected our emotional states and physical mobility really are.
During a massage session, beyond the physical benefits of working on the muscle fibers, we also work on joint mobility and stretching, as well as other connections throughout the body. This helps release stagnant energy, which in turn can ease emotional responses.
What we’re aiming for is a body that is more able to move freely and efficiently.

I want to express my gratitude for 2024, a year in which many wonderful people received therapy with me. In 2024 I had the pleasure of expanding my space to a much larger studio for all of you. Had the honor of joining forces and connecting with the amazing , the privilege of beginning my studies in Craniosacral Therapy, and the luxury of continuing to build deeper relationships beyond bodywork therapies. It has been a year of growth, despite all the challenges that come with being a freelancer.

I look forward to a new year of transformation, discoveries, curiosity, and abundant growth.
