Family Constellations NYC / Luisa Muhr Coaching
Developed by German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger in the 1990's, Family Constellations is an alternative form of therapy work. It involves a group of people who come together, seated in a circle, offering their awareness and presence and thus creating a, what we call, “work field”. The work itself is confidential and stays within the room. The basic principle of Family Constellations is based on the idea that certain issues and patterns we encounter in our daily lives (on the surface or the subconscious) are always connected to and are deeply rooted in our ancestry. Sometimes even so deep that we are not aware of them. A person who has a specific issue they want to look at presents a question to the facilitator who will guide a process of setting up other participants from the circle (so-called "representatives") in the center of the circle (the “work field”). This will take place in such a way that it offers insight into the hidden dynamics at play, eventually leading to significant healing movements. The process is intuitive, dogma-free, and helps people connect with their own authenticity, inner wisdom, and soul force that build the foundation of change.
Luisa Muhr is a New-York-based Family Constellations and Systemic Constellations Coach and Facilitator, originally from Vienna, Austria.
She was first introduced to Family Constellation Work and Astrology at a very early age and has been exposed to and shaped by both since. Luisa studied with one of Germany's most prominent Family Constellations Facilitators: Dr. Peter Orban, who was one of Bert Hellinger's early students. Inspired by her mentor, Luisa's Constellation Work can also include archetypes (rooted in Carl Jung's teachings).
Apart from her work as a Constellations Coach and Facilitator Luisa is a multi- and interdisciplinary performer and theater-maker, mostly at home in the avant-garde/experimental scene, specialized in voice and movement. She is the co-founder and artistic director of the performing arts company FENGARI Works and runs New York's currently only interdisciplinary women artists series 'Women Between Arts' (at The New School Glass Box Theater).
